About the Masonic Care Community in Utica, NY
Learn More About Our Tradition of Caring
The Masonic Care Community is our crown jewel.
The Masonic Care Community is the center diamond in a crown of properties owned and managed by the Trustees of the Masonic Hall and Asylum Fund. The effort to build a home for Masons, their wives, widows, and orphans began in the mid-1800s.
The Masonic Care Community opened its doors in May of 1893 as the Masonic Home. It was built with pride and purpose and over the years, has been a safe haven and welcome place for tens of thousands of people.
The Masonic Care Community continues its tradition of care today.
Today, this first class facility is open to everyone and more than 500 elders call the Masonic Care Community their home. Our beautiful 400-acre campus is close to Utica's city services and other area attractions. It also offers our residents a safe and secure country setting, complete with a pond, stream, woods, and a variety of wildlife that inhabit the grounds.
Our mission is to support, nurture, and educate those whose lives we touch. We do this by providing exceptional care and services with compassion and pride guided by the Masonic Principles of brotherly love, relief, truth, and integrity.
